Goa Coronavirus – Tourism Advisory

Ever since the global pandemic COVID 19 hit the world, everyone has been dealing with the financial, health-related, and emotional crisis. While many people lost their jobs due to a halt in the trading world, the Indian tourism industry has also fallen victim because of the restrictions on movement to control the spread of Coronavirus in Goa by the government.

Goa Govt has finally planned on reviving the tourism of its state as it is a major source of revenue with a variety of activities to enjoy. Goa has also been a hub for people who wish to experience the coastal life and enjoy water sports activities. Whether it is a native or a tourist, everyone can now enjoy life in Goa after Government’s announcement to re-open water sports and cruise activities with immediate effect. But, there is still the need to handle everything with proper caution.

Travel Services that are re-opened in Goa

This is a smart move initiated by the Goa Tourism department to revive life in the state but doing it within necessary prevention strategies. Goa is famous for its water sports activities such as; scuba diving, deep-sea activities, etc. Ever since the announcement made by the Government, many operators have agreed to re-open their facilities, whereas some still consider staying closed is the best way to keep yourself safe from this deadly contagious disease.

Goa Tourism has planned on re-opening services such as:

  • Restaurants, pubs, and bars
  • Water sports activities
  • Hotels & Resorts
  • Cruise and boating services

This is rather an appreciable step taken by the Government as the livelihood of most of the locals depends on the tourist activities. It is majorly supported by the Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG), a body which completely supports this revival plan with the proper implementation of mandatory guidelines.

What To Expect On Your Arrival In The Goa?

If you are planning to travel to Goa amidst the Novel Coronavirus situation, there is a relief in the restriction for travelers. Now domestic tourists do not need to carry a negative COVID test report.  However, people are still being cautious and taking all the necessary steps, such as following social-distancing, sanitizing their hands regularly, wearing masks, etc. to make sure they do not get affected by the infection.

You can now travel by flight and enjoy the vibe of Goa again. If someone is found to be showing symptoms of Coronavirus during their visit, there are testing centers to get checked for the virus in Goa itself.

The Proper Directions As Per The Advisory

You can now enjoy the water sports activities in Goa without any fear as the businesses have been directed with proper rules as per the advisory that has been released.

  • The thermal screening of staff and tourists of river cruises is mandatory to ensure safety. After the end of each cruise trip, the guests will need to be directed to get down the ship in a staggered, slow manner and follow social-distancing and avoid over-crowding.
  • The transport vehicles and areas with high traffic must be properly sanitized to avoid the spread of the virus.
  • When a person is in the public area, it is mandatory to wear face masks.
  • Frequenting washing and sanitizing of hands is a must as per the
  • During boat rides, proper physical distancing must be maintained, and not more them 50% of the seating area can be occupied.
  • Government is very clear on the usage of contactless payment during journeys, hotel-stay, restaurant visits, or while getting involved in any sports activity and even for gratuities and add-ons.
  • Upon the arrival of every tourist at any facility, the temperature check is a must.

This is a commendable step taken and implemented by the Government to re-start the normal life in the state and bring back the stabilization in the economy with its backbone, that is, tourism.

Since October is the season of water activities in Goa, this has indeed given a sigh of relief to all the business owners in the area. The coastal life of Goa is nothing less than a feeling of freshness, and the Goa Government is ready with its necessary guidelines to thrive the economy of their state.

Locals are expecting good results with this much needed strategic plan and taking proper health measures simultaneously. As the commercial life in Goa is about to re-open, you should also go there after such a long period of staying at home and not being able to live life to the fullest. The Goa Tourism welcomes you with open arms and safety checks.
