If you want to dine at the beach do not miss out on visiting one of Goa’s oldest seafood restaurants – Souza Lobo. A well-laid and airy restaurant this place has an un-fussy rustic charm. It is operating since 1932 and known for its authentic seafood and live music. Elsewhere, there are numerous shacks that offer various cuisines and drinks, the prices are by and large same at the shack.

Other recommended restaurants, bars and café located in the vicinity of the beach are Redonda Restaurant, Cafe Lazy Days, Cafe Fiori, The Public Bar, and Owl-The Premium Night Club. There are numerous Indian restaurants that offer good breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well and the streets are filled with various shops and supermarts offering a wide range of products and services. Do not forget to visit Café Sussegado as well!

Nightlife at Calangute

As far as Goa’s nightlife is concerned, there are popular joints around the beach where you can spend the evening dining and listen to both English and Hindi music on karaoke. The Sportsman Bar is a bar that shows all the premiership footie games at the weekend and runs karaoke and quiz nights. Café Mambo is another joint that enthralls tourists with foot-tapping Bollywood music. Located perfectly at Tito’s lane near Baga beach, this place is a landmark in itself.

The Public Bar is another fabulous bar located nearby. It’s a no-food and just a drinking bar at a very reasonable price with great service where people are seated upstairs on the Calangute Beach Road. Kamaki and Club Ivy are also some of the other joints worth visiting.
